Clinical visits can be a stressful time for many people, including people with ASD. Often people with ASD face additional challenges during procedures like physical exams and blood draws due to communication challenges and sensory issues.
Many children are understandably anxious before they visit a new clinic, therapist, or doctor for the first time. In order to help them understand what to expect, we provide picture stories for them to review before they come.
