Dr. Martha Herbert to speak in Austin

JCCHD | Fri, April 13, 2012 | [Autism Treatment][Community][Events]

If you will be in the Austin area on Wednesday, April 18, we hope you will make plans to join us for what is sure to be a fascinating presentation by one of our collaborators, Dr. Martha Herbert.

Dr. Herbert is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a Pediatric Neurologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

After her presentation, Dr. Herbert will be signing copies of her new book, The Autism Revolution. Published by Random House and Harvard Health Publications, it was released last week and has received excellent reviews for its balanced and practical perspective on autism and intervention.

The book provides a new framework for viewing autism spectrum disorders as whole-body conditions that can change and get better, rather than a life-long genetic disorder of the brain. Dr. Herbert provides references to the new science that support this approach.

This presentation and book signing will be at our offices on Wednesday, April 18 from 530 – 730 pm. Attendance is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to register or call our offices at 512.732.8400.
